Development History

PetroVietnam Financial Corporation (PVFC) has experienced its initial difficulties and challenges of a newly finance institution in Vietnam in the integration process. PVFC has affirmed its major strategy mission in the renewal process to construct Oil and Gas Group to become one of Vietnamese powerful groups. The company has gained continuously the important achievements in the terms of stable and sustainable growth indexes, consolidated and completed business network, the management system based on international standard ISO 9001: 2000, trailed and qualified personals, business culture in formation since its establishment. PVFC has already step into new development period in the self-confident and spirit, but it has faced many challenges.

In the spirit, PVFC’s staffs and 30 its service products, which has been bringing into full play effectively, will continue to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Oil and Gas Group and meet its guest’s requirements in the nationwide.

PVFC has pledged to continue creation, improvement to render high quality monetary finance services in sake of the distinguished guests’ prosperity, deserving its new development.

Corporation's milestones

• September 15^th 2010: The Petroleum Finance Center Building was officially open for business.
• September 2^nd 2010: granted the Vietnam Gold Star Award 2010 (5 times in a row) for its contributions in the cause of national economy and brand name development.
• August 25^th 2010: grand opened PVFC' 10^th branch in Quang Ngai City
• June 19^th 2010: awarded the 2nd Class State Labour Medal by Vietnam National Assembly on the 10th anniversary.
• 2009: top 500 business corporations in Vietnam, ranked 11^th among 23 biggest finance organizations – rated by VNR.
• Dec 31^st 2009: granted Top Trade Service Award 2009 (ranked 4^th in top 10)
• October 11^th 2009: received Vietnam Leading Stock Brand 2009 – top 20
• September 2^nd 2009: granted Vietnam Gold Star Award 2009 (the 4^th Gold Star Award in 5 years)
• July 20^th 2009: PVFI became PVFC’ subsidiary company.
• Feb 22^nd 2009: opened PVFC’ representative office in Quang Ngai Province.
• Dec 31^st 2008: General Director rewarded Vietnam Red Star Prize 2008 for his achievements and contributions to PVFC as well as Vietnam economy development.
• Novemeber 29^th 2008: received Golden Brand 2008.
• November 19^th 2008: opened gold transaction office in Long Bien Transaction Centre.
• November 3^rd 2008: PVFC stock (code PVF) officially listed on HOSE.
• September 2^nd 2008: honored by the 3^rd Vietnam Gold Star Award (2008) – top 100
• May 21^st 2008: PVFC’ Hochiminh Branch rewarded National Medal of Labour (3^rd rank) on its 5 years anniversary.
• April 10^th 2008: opened Thanh Hoa Branch in Thanh Hoa City.
• April 4^th 2008: opened Long Bien Transaction Centre
• March 18^th 2008: officially became Petrovietnam Finance Joint Stock Corporation (chartered capital 5,000 billions VND) with its foreign strategic partner (Morgan Stanley – holding 10% of PVFC’ chartered capital).
• February 5^th 2008: received Flag of Achievement in Business and Production Emulation from Vietnam Government for PVFC achievement and contribution in 2007 – leading the emulation movement ran by Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade.
• January 9^th 2008: Business Star Prize rewarded – top 10 Successfully Integrating Corporations.
• January 6^th 2008: granted Top Trade Service Award 2007
• August 8^th 2007: launched 03 membership companies including PVFC Invest; PVFC Land and PVFC Media.
• September 8^th 2007: PVFC was only unit won 2 rewards “2007 Director” and “ISO 2007 gold cup”
• August 10^th 2007: officially opened Thang Long branch’s PVFC
• July 24^th 2007: officially opened Sai Gon branch’s PVFC
• July 15^th 2007: received the trademark and label medal cup
• June 26^th 2007: set up PVFC’s branch in Can Tho.
• June 19^th 2007: issued successfully the PVFC’s 1500 billion VND bond.
• May 18^th 2007: set up the scholarship fund “PVFC- trustful lighting” granted for poor pupils, students, which overcome the circumstances to gain great achievements in studying.
• May 5^th 2007: received the reward “gold global” to the State-owned company operating in finance field.
• April, 2007: honored to receive the reward “Vietnam’s powerful trademark” and listed “top 50 recruiter in Vietnam”.
• March 9^th 2007: officially financed Song Lam Nghe An football club and the club officially is called PVFC- Song Lam Nghe An football club.
• February 14^th 2007: PVFC officially raised the registered capital to 3000 billion VND, marked a major landmark in the company’s development process.
• August 24^th 2006: Set up PVFC opened the securities trading office SSI- PVFC.
• July 4^th 2006: Set up PVFC’ branch in Da Nang Province.
• April 26^th 2006: officially raised PVFC’ registered capital to 1000 billions VND
• June 19^th 2006: issued successfully the PVFC’ 690 billions VND bond.
• February 2006: operated free hot line 18001525 serving 24/24 hours for PVFC’ guests.
• December, 2005: deployed successfully the installation and put in to operation WAN network system in all systems.
• December, 2005: All assets reached over 8 trillions VND.
• December 15^th 2005: ranked the First State-owned Company.
• September 15^th 2005: received the reward of Vietnamese land medal star
• September 3^rd 2005: received the Trademark and Label Medal Cup
• August 19^th 2005: Received Petrol Tower building’s management from Petrol tourist and Service Company.
• May 20^th 2005: Opened transaction office number 30
• April 20^th 2005: Launched transaction office number 20
• February 28^th 2005: Set up PVFC’ branch in Vung Tau City.
• January 1^st 2005: increased PVFC’ registered capital by 300 billions VND.
• December 31^st 2004: 5,000 billion VND Capital was given to PVN’ projects; all assets reached over 4 trillion VND; PVFC’ revenue reached over 300 billion VND.
• May 5^th 2004: received quality management system in conformity with standard ISO 9001: 2000 granted by Swedish SGS organization.
• May 5^th 2004: PVFC’ initial Board of Directors have been appointed
• May 21^st 2003: set up PVFC’ branch in Ho Chi Minh city.
• September 3^rd 2003: PetroVietnam bond’s successful issuance.
• October 1^st 2002: launch PVFC’ official website at http://www.pvfc.com.vn
• June 19^th 2002: open the first securities trading office (BSC- PVFC).
• October 30^th 2001: launched transaction offices 11, 20 and 30
• February 5^th 2001: PVFC grand opening ceremony formally held in Hanoi
• October 1^st 2000: PVFC officially established it’s headquarter at 34B Han Thuyen- Hanoi and opened transaction office No.10
• June 19^th 2000: Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group’s Board of Directors signed Decision 903/ QD-HDQT on setting up PVFC
• March 30^th 2000: The government office’s Director signed Decision No 04/2000/QD/VPCP on setting up PetroVietnam Finance Company (PVFC)
