Hua Na Hydropower project sponsored by PVFC to operate On July 24, the delegation of Petrovietnam led by Deputy Director Nguyen Quoc Khanh inspected the resettlement areas of Hua Na hydropower project and installation progress of major works in plants, dams and spillways.
Hua Na Hydropower, with the capacity of 180 MW and total investment of VND 4,864 billion is located in Thong Thu and Dong Van commune, Que Phong district. The project is invested by Hua Na Hydropower Joint Stock Company initialed by two shareholders i.e. PV Power and Lilama, with the chartered capital of VND1,800 billion.
Hua Na Hydropower is one of the key national projects jointly sponsored by PVFC, Military Bank (MB), Saigon Commercial Joint Stock Bank and North Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank. The collaboration among organizations in the financial arrangements provides varied, flexible and effective funding channels for the project.
The project is expected to provide average of 712.7 million kWh/ year when operated in quarter IV/2012, while contributing to regulate Chu river flow and control downstream flood. This significant hydroelectric project in the aspect of people's welfare and social economy contributes to ensure Vietnamese energy security.
